TWC Week 11 (Session 10)

This session's lecture was more of something to sum up what we have learned this term for Technology and World Change, with a focus being on assessment of the current state of technology as well as gaining insight into future technologies.

One of the key observations I made was that a lot of analytical work and studying of current trends is needed, with a great emphasis being placed on policy recommendations.

There were a couple of key takeaway points. Firstly, there is only one way to ever forecast what kind of technologies will be present in the future, and that would be for the individual to take the initiative to change things. Secondly from the presentations, other than analyzing current trends, how the Earth changes with regards to the climate is also an important consideration when forecasting future technologies.

An issue for further discussion would probably be on the possible obstacles and roadblocks that future technologies face.
